The SteelConcrete system arises from the need to propose a system with highly effective seismic, thermal and durability characteristics. SteelConcrete combines the structural versatility of steel, the durability of concrete and the thermotechnical capabilities of the insulation materials used, thus obtaining a wall system with excellent acoustic, thermal, breathability and seismic resistance characteristics. SteelConcrete is a suitable system and indicated for high energy saving constructions.
It is an innovative construction system consisting of prefabricated modular panels with a steel load-bearing structure, joined to a reinforced concrete slab and to an external EPS (coat) coating ready for the subsequent reinforced finishing smoothing. In addition to the prefabricated wall module, the system is integrated with commercial steel profiles suitable for the construction of load-bearing structures such as pillars and beams necessary for supporting the horizontal structures. The load-bearing structure of the Panel is made up of profiles in cold-formed “C” steel. The mechanical resistance of the wall is guaranteed by the casting of the reinforced concrete slab which in fact fulfills other functions: 1. guarantee of thermal inertia, ensuring that the wall keeps its temperature constant when the external temperatures vary;

2. obtaining a support surface for the external EPS coating with complete adhesion to the concrete surface without the aid of mechanical fixings or adhesives.
