STEELWOOD SYSTEM

The STEELWOOD system, born from the coupling of the steel core with a wooden infill panel, is a construction system that combines the thermal properties deriving from wood, with the great versatility and structural guarantee of the steel construction system. Steelwood is a construction typology born from the Steelconcrete system, but which instead of the reinforced concrete slab uses a GL24H laminated wood infill.
The steel panels arrive on site without the infill panel that will be added to the system only after the steel frame has been installed by means of fixing with screws. SteelWood is a system suitable and indicated for high energy saving constructions and foresees the execution of an internal counter wall in coated gypsum or fiber-gypsum sheets with different and customizable construction costs. It is also foreseen the creation of an external coat with materials and thicknesses that can be customized according to the preset transmittance values.
